We did the development work on Digital Camera Exchange on behalf of our partner Puro Design. We built Digital Camera Exchange (DCE) an online auction website that has been described as the eBay for photographers.
DCE gives sellers the choice of selling their photographic equipment via an online auction with the ability to Buy it Now (BIN). We included some social media share buttons so you can share the auction you are viewing on your favourite social media platform.
We developed a responsive custom template which means that the user experience is optimised for the device you are using to view the website. This website has one of the most complex search functions we have built to allow people to easily find auctions that are of interest to them.
To be able to submit your photography equipment on DCE to sell it, we gave the website the ability to have people register for an account so they can access the members area to monitor their auctions.
The DCE team also wanted an easy way to send information about the available auctions and other industry related news to users of the website via eNewsletters. We helped them integrate an eNewsletter system into their website, integrate the eNewsletter signup with the existing registration and contact forms on the website as well as develop the eNewsletter template based from the design from Puro Design.
Overall, this was a complicated project but seeing the happy client use their new website, it was worth all the work to make their vision a reality.
