There are many free brushes for Photoshop on the website that you can download and use.
Once you have downloaded the brushes you want to use in Photoshop, put those brush file into the brushes folder in your Photoshop installation – Photoshop\Presets\Brushes. The brushes file should have an .abr file extension.
Even though you save the brushes into the necessary folder, they won’t always be loaded into your workshop automatically. You will have to load them and the steps below will show you how.
Step 1
Start Photoshop and activate the Brush tool and you will see the brush settings in the Options palette.
Step 2
Open the brush palette by pressing the triangle on the right of the word BRUSH. In the brush palette, click the triangle in the top right corner and you will see a menu where you can select to Load Brushes.
Step 3
You now see the Load Brushes dialog box. Choose the brush file you wish to load from the list. These brushes will now appear in the brush palette.
